This most recent ad campaign for Dum Dum Pops (everyone’s favorite sucker of course!) shows humans as three of the lollipop flavors.
We have the banana,

root beer,

and mystery flavor.

Trendhunter’s opinion on the campaign? “In addition to being effective by communicating that the pops have a flavor strong enough to make you look like the flavors themselves.” They are also very impressed by the art direction!
What do you think of the campaign? It definitely grabbed my attention!
Which of the three is your favorite? Mine is root beer! That absolutely cracks me up!
I have never seen any other promotion for Dum Dums suckers before; if you have, please share!
The campaign ran in the US and was done by an agency out of Atlanta.

Playboy is known for beautiful women. Blonde women with big boobs to be exact.
When we think of Playboy we also think of Hugh Hefner, The Girls Next Door, and of course beautiful women with blonde hair and big boobs.
But do you ever think of the advertiseing that has been done for Playboy?
Check out the following three ads that have been brilliantly created to sell Playboy and its beautiful women.
1. Men Love to Read
Who says men don’t like to read? Well this print ad uses dozens of women to prove that men really do like to read!

2. Lay Down.
These towels made for a great promotion when women laid on them to enjoy the summer sun.

3. Online. Subtle?
This is a viral ad that was used on the internet to direct consumers to the Playboy website. All it does is show the image of a woman’s hand on a computer mouse, right? Or is it more than that?

What do you think of these three ads? Which is your favorite?
What other Playboy promotions have you seen and enjoyed?
At this point, does Playboy even need to advertise and promote? Or are they so well know already?
What are your thoughts?

This ad from Miradent reminds consumers of the importance of flossing through a very creative print ad.
Miradent is a company that produces a huge line of dental products; but this ad in particular was showcasing their dental floss and the ability of their product to fit even in the smallest gaps.
This ad is very bright and bold and immediately grabs the attention of the reader of the magazine. With the two teeth shown and covering the majority of the page, your attention is brought to the page.
The ad also included a “bookmark” aka dental floss; so you are also drawn to the page because of the marker.
What do you think of this ad? Is it extraordinary? Or just another dental product print ad? What would get your attention more: the large white and bright ad or the bookmark/floss in the middle?

Not sure how many of you have seen this ad campaign from Dove, but I thought it would be a fun one to share this weekend!
This campaign from Dove was to promote their new line of products with the message: Unstick Your Style.
The new products include:
Volumizing Mousse for New Movement in Hair. Perfect for Wilma Flinstone!

Anti Frizz Creme for New Movement in Hair; and who better to test this product on than Marge Simpson!

And of course who could forget Jane Jetson in desperate need of Hairspray!

What do you think of this fun, light hearted campaign? Good advertising?

The Golden Magazine will be hitting newsstands soon!
No, this is not the title of the magazine and no, this is not the newest “must read” magazine.
Kohl magazine will celebrate it’s launch with a cover that actually includes 91 grams of gold and 622 diamonds on the cover. And Katrina Kaif is the lucky and beautiful model who will be gracing the cover of this launch issue.
According to Trendhunter, it is estimated that this one magazine will cost $10,000 to produce!!
Kohl magazine is the UAE’s first and only women’s lifestyle and fashion monthly catering to intelligent and educated Asian women between the ages of 25 - 40, said a recent article at ArabianBusiness.com .

The look and design of the Kohl magazine cover was created by Damas, an exclusive jewelry designer and manufacturer. Not only is the cost of the magazine astronomical but the cover actually took over 86 hours to make!
The magazine will not literally be hitting newsstands but it will be on display at various locations before going up for auction to benefit a charity.
What do you think?
Sounds to me like a pretty good, and pretty expensive, PR move! Talk about great publicity!
