Smooth Ride - Very Creative Escalator Ads
What’s your favorite kind of advertising?
If you’re like me, you have a favorite medium.
So what it is?
Is it television commercials, window clings, newspaper ads, billboards, direct marketing?
Well, if you said the use of escalators, you are on the same page as the advertisers of Venus.
By constructing this giant leg and attaching it to the side of an escalator, Venus was able to show the ability of their product to create “seriously, smooth legs.”
Many other advertisers have used escalators to promote their products, such as:
The Pizza Kingdom, striving to get their cheesy pizza message across to escalator passengers.
And have you seen this escalator ad from Pantene? They utilized the space between two escalators with hair. Patrons of the escalator could actually touch the “irresistibly smooth hair.”

There are a multitude of other companies and products that have used escalators to reach out to their targets, so what do you think of using escalators as an advertising medium? Are the ads above successful in getting their message out?
What other brands could use escalators to effectively get their message out?
